some responsibilities on digital platforms I will like to pay attention to:

  • how I deliver activities ( e.g setting reminders, using platform features)
  • teaching students appropriate digital classroom behaviour.
  • maintaining a safe and inclusive atmosphere for learning.

Benefits of working on a digital platform

  • Work can be easily archived and referred to.
  • Learning can happen at different times & locations.
  • Community building though it may be difficult in the initial stages becomes achievable.
  • We are able to share in this “lack” of a physical presence, together.

Challenges on the digital platform

  • It can be very difficult to concentrate for long periods online.
  • Students are easily distracted
  • There can be a reluctancy to share ideas/work online. Concerns of ownership.
